On March 17, 2014, the Mayor of the City of Belišće Dinko Burić visited the company Weldex d.o.o. owned by Darijo Šimić. The company was founded in 1999 and has been in the Business Zone of Belišće since 2005. Today, the company employs 50 employees and has 3,000 m2 of production and warehousing space, on an area of 8,500 m2 in the North Zone of Belišće. The owner of the company accompanied the mayor through the production hall and met him with the latest investments in the company. Namely, last year, 2.1 million Croatian Kuna was invested in the company, of which the largest amount was invested in the purchase of a new machine that cuts using high pressure water jet, and thanks to which Weldex becomes one of the most competitive company in this sector in Croatia, using ecological mode of production . With investment in equipment, obtaining ISO quality certification and education, the company has been awarded by the state through a business venture for the Entrepreneurship impulse, and has been encouraged to build a production hall that has been completed in just two months.
Mayor Dinko Burić praised the company’s business results so far and expressed his satisfaction with the expansion plans and also promised the help and support of the City Administration to this company as well as all the other that are doing business in the city of Belišće and said that the overall development of the City is based on the economic development that is the foundation of all activities in a community.
